Hong Kong internships and training contracts
Every year we run two, four-week internship schemes in our Hong Kong office, in June and July. We select our future trainees from our internship programme, so you don’t need to apply for a training contract separately.
If you are studying in Hong Kong or the UK, our online applications open on 1 September 2024. You’ll fill out an online form where you:
- write 850 words that give us a good idea of who you are, and
- submit your CV and transcripts
For Australian law students, you are able to apply from 1 August 2024 for early consideration. We review your applications on a rolling basis, so that you will know the outcome of your application within a few weeks of applying.
Prior to 1 September 2024, Australian law students can make their application by emailing Asia.GraduateRecruitment@freshfields.com:
- your CV
- transcripts, and
- a personal statement of no more than 850 words about your background, career, interests and aspirations. You may wish to mention any positions of responsibility held at school or subsequently, any regular employment or other work experience or other achievements and any particular interests and personal qualities which are significant. Please also state briefly why you are making this application.
We'll contact you if we like what we read in your application form. We'll ask you to complete an online assessment in advance of attending an interview either at our Hong Kong office or online. We’ll contact you within a few weeks after your interview to let you know if you’ve been successful.
