Bus
Manchester Piccadilly Gardens
- Buses 38, 34, 34A will bring you to the Salford Central Rail Station (Stop WV) bus stop.
Manchester Shudehill Interchange
- Buses 67, 8, 100 will bring you to the Salford Central Rail Station (Stop WY) bus stop.

Tram
You can get the tram close to the office, but will then need to get a bus, taxi or walk.

St. Peter’s Square
- From here you can either get a taxi or walk this route.
Train
Manchester Victoria
- From here you can get on a 5-minute train to Salford Central, get a taxi, or walk this route.
Manchester Piccadilly
- You can either walk to Piccadilly Gardens and catch a bus (please see bus instructions), get a taxi, or walk this route.
Manchester Oxford Street
- You can either walk to get the free bus (Stop SV here), get a taxi, or walk the route here.
If you’re coming in from Salford Central, you can take a short 2 minute walk to the office.
Taxi
The main taxi pick up / drop off point is the Bridge Street taxi rank.
Once you have been dropped off, head to One New Bailey.
However, if you require to be dropped off directly outside the main entrance or require extra support, please contact us on +44 (0) 161 880 6000 prior to your arrival.
We will then coordinate with our Building Team to provide vehicle access and egress through the bollards outside Sainsbury’s, allowing a drop off outside the main front entrance.
You will then need to call the security team on +44 (0) 772 074 1127 when you arrive to drop the bollards manually.
Information regarding accessing One New Bailey
Entrance to One New Bailey
One New Bailey’s Ground Floor Reception is accessible via the main entrance; the entrance is step free.
There is also a wider turnstile for wheelchair access.
Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer is situated on floors 5-7 of One New Bailey.
All visitors (those without a Manchester security access pass) will need to check in with the Ground Floor Reception on arrival.
They will then be directed to Freshfields’ Reception on Floor 7, where our Reception team will contact your host and allocate a security access pass. Please let our reception team know by phone: +44 (0) 161 880 6000 or email if you would like a priority access pass.
All of our entrances and egress are wheelchair accessible.
Security within Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer
Freshfields have asked our Security team to take a proactive approach to ensure everyone on site are always wearing their security access pass. If our team cannot see it on your person, please be expected to show your pass. This is to maintain the safety within the building.
Any one day passes and visitor passes must be returned prior to leaving the building.
Taxi / Drop off Assisted Entry
If you require assisted entry to our office, we recommend you contact us on 0161 880 6000 prior to your arrival.
We will then coordinate with our Building Team to provide vehicle access and egress through the bollards outside Sainsbury’s, allowing a drop off outside the main front entrance.
The security team will need to be called on +44 (0) 772 074 1127 on arrival to drop the bollards manually.
Please let us know if you will require support in the event of an emergency evacuation.
Parking
Unfortunately, there is no Freshfields specific parking.
However, there are two nearby car parks managed by NCP, providing excellent parking access including 1255 spaces:
- Salford New Bailey car park is located at the rear of the building
- Stanley Street car park is just a 5 minute walk
