About Nikita Grätsch
Nikita is a corporate and financial regulatory associate in our global transactions practice in Frankfurt. He focuses on financial regulation, capital markets law, corporate law and M&A in the financial sector.
He advises financial institutions, such as credit institutions and investment firms, and also unregulated companies on all aspects of financial regulation and their business models, including licensing requirements, governance issues and ongoing regulatory requirements. He regularly assists companies in M&A transactions in the financial sector.
Nikita speaks German and English.
Recent work
- Advising SEB Kort Bank AB regarding the acquisition of Lufthansa AirPlus Servicekarten GmbH from Deutsche Lufthansa Aktiengesellschaft.
- Advising The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. on its acquisition of NN Investment Partners from NN Group N.V. for approximately €1.6 billion.
- Advising a European banking group on the group internal cross-border merger of a German banking entity onto its parent institution located in a different EU country.
Qualifications
Nikita completed his legal education at the University of Freiburg and at Trinity College, Dublin. He served his legal traineeship (Referendariat) at the Higher Regional Court of Frankfurt, including a stages at Freshfields' Frankfurt office and the legal department of Deutsche Bank. He was admitted to the bar as Rechtsanwalt in 2021.
