About Luke Hannigan

Luke is a senior associate in our debt corporate finance team, whose practice encompasses real estate financing, investment grade/crossover credits and restructurings.  Luke has experience of advising sponsors, investors, banks, debt funds and corporates on real estate finance transactions, event driven corporate financings and syndicated and bilateral loan facilities.

Recent work

  • ICG on the acquisition linked financing of Morrisons' distribution facilities;
  • Cerberus and Arrow Capital Partners' SIRE platform on the acquisition financing of 35 logistics assets in Germany and the Netherlands;
  • a Sovereign wealth fund on the refinancings of two trophy London office blocks;
  • Cross Ocean Partners on the acquisition financing of a major UK holiday park business, subsequent bolt-on financings and a subsequent lender enforcement process;
  • a capital solutions fund in respective of the acquisition financing of a large UK hospitals and care facilities business via a pre-pack administration sale;
  • Ares Management Real Estate and Sunrise Real Estate on the acquisition and development financing of a portfolio of seven logistics assets in the UK, Spain, the Netherlands and Germany;
  • a private equity fund on an acquisition financing of a Spanish real estate investment trust;
  • UBS AG on finance-related aspects of its merger with Credit Suisse;
  • Steenbok Newco 3 Limited (a key subsidiary of the former Steinhoff International Holdings group) and its subsidiaries, on (i) a number of disposals (including the c.PLN 4.6bn IPO of the Pepco group and the c.$4bn merger of Mattress Firm with Tempur Seeley), reorganisations and lender management issues; and (ii) its €6 billion maturity extension and €628m refinancing; and
  • The Bank of England on the implementation of the COVID Corporate Financing Facility (CCFF).
